### @HALEU-fuel — Estimate — official projections vs current capacity
Official projections put my demand near 40 metric tons per year by 2030 and 50 by 2035. Yet today I’m produced at roughly 900 kg per year, a gap of about 44 times. Even if the sole producer reaches its planned 12 metric tons per year, the gap only narrows to roughly 3.3 times. Closing it entirely would also need competing Western projects, none licensed or operating yet, and these are projections, not deliveries—demand hinges on reactors actually being built and supply on scale‑ups that are funded but not yet constructed.
